Deep Tissue Mobilization and Therapeutic Body Work
What is Deep Tissue mobilization and Body Work?
Deep tissue body work, sometimes in combination with joint and spinal mobilization, identifies areas of tissue and joint tightness and uses forceful and dynamic hands-on techniques to normalize the involved areas.
These techniques can be used to treat existing injuries, in addition to identifying areas with abnormalities that could lead to injury if left untreated.
Other benefits include stress release, circulation improvement, tension lessening and pain reduction.
How is it performed?
The best physiological effect on the body is achieved with massage that is performed as deep as possible. The deeper it is performed, the more the nervous centers are stimulated and the greater the effect on the tissue being treated. This results in faster effects and a greater degree the reflexive therapeutic effects, such as the production of endorphin.
